De Wildt cheetah and wildlife sanctuary
Travel January 28th. 2010, 7:50amMost people have a favorite animal, but not many have a favorite animal such as mine. I absolutely adore the spotted hyena or brown Hyena. My first experience with a hyena was at the ‘De Wildt cheetah and wildlife sanctuary’ situated in Magaliesberg, North of Pretoria. With the aid of avis, I was able to share their space and learn fascinating things about these unique creatures. Did you know that their biological family is closely linked to that of the Mongooses and MeerKat family? Although this animal is negatively associated to that of a scavenger, it is a very capable and resourceful hunter and very cunning.
