I have always used the computer as an educational tool for my children. I purchased educational software that all my children have taken to. I have phonics programs that increase their reading speed and comprehension. The wonderful aspect to this type of software is that children see it as a game more than educational, which makes them more prone to actually use it. I believe these types of software tools are what the next generation of children will be using regularly. I also think as a result of this, their reading and math skills will increase beyond their grade level.
